The AHA is a national voluntary health agency to help reduce disability and death from cardiovascular disease and stroke. The AHA was founded in 1924 and nice has been at the forefront of cardiovascular science, cardiovascular education and community programs. A majority of cardiac arrest victims occur outside the hospital i.e. at home or place of work. Which means if the situation arises that you will need to do CPR it will be on someone you know or even love. This is why it is important that everyone learns CPR and is not afraid to use it.
